Jamaica, the odd one out among Corfu, Ibiza and Jamaica, lies in the Caribbean Sea, roughly 145 kilometres south of Cuba. Corfu sits in the Ionian Sea off Greece's northwest coast, while Ibiza belongs to Spain's Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean. All three share warm climates and thriving tourism, which is exactly why the geography question can trip you up.
Libra is the sole sign of the zodiac represented by an inanimate object: a pair of scales. Its name comes from the Latin word for "balance," and it is the only sign named for a tool rather than a person, animal or mythical being. The scales evoke fairness and equilibrium, associations that have clung to Libra since ancient Babylonian astronomy linked the constellation to justice.
Madonna's first single, "Everybody," arrived in 1982 and became a club hit before she was a household name. A decade later she worked with producer Shep Pettibone on "Erotica," a partnership that shaped her 1990s sound. Meanwhile, "Singin' in the Rain" (1952) was directed by Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen, a rare dual credit that helped define the golden age of the Hollywood musical.
The Americans with Disabilities Act, signed in 1990, prohibited discrimination against people with disabilities in employment, public services and accommodations. A year later, the International Olympic Committee added "Communiter" to the Olympic motto, making it "Citius, Altius, Fortius - Communiter" (Faster, Higher, Stronger - Together). The original three Latin words had been in use since the founding of the modern Games in 1894.
