The Seven Dwarfs in Disney's 1937 film went through dozens of names before settling on the familiar lineup. Early story notes included characters such as Jumpy, Deafy, Wheezy, Baldy and Tubby, and "Prof" was among the candidates considered before the makers trimmed the group down to seven. The final names were chosen so each dwarf's personality could be read instantly on screen.
World War I began in 1914, in the second decade of the 20th century, and lasted until 1918. It started after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo and quickly pulled the major European powers into conflict through a web of alliances. The war ended with the collapse of several empires, including the Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman empires, and reshaped borders across Europe and the Middle East.
Pakistan's capital is Islamabad, a planned city that replaced Karachi as the seat of government in the 1960s. Karachi, the country's largest city and economic hub, had served as the capital after independence in 1947. Islamabad was designed on a grid with wide avenues and green space, and it sits close to Rawalpindi, with which it forms a large metropolitan area.
Denmark uses the Danish krone, divided into 100 ore, and the country has long chosen to keep its own currency rather than adopt the euro. Colombia's currency is the Colombian peso, which has a much longer and more turbulent history, including repeated redenominations as inflation eroded the value of older notes. The cordoba, meanwhile, belongs to Nicaragua, not Colombia, which is a common trap in currency questions.
Mars is known for planet-wide dust storms that can obscure the entire surface for weeks. These storms are driven by fine iron-rich dust and strong seasonal winds, and they can threaten solar-powered spacecraft. Venus is wrapped in thick clouds of sulphuric acid rather than dust, while Jupiter's weather is dominated by powerful storms such as the Great Red Spot.
